how to fight with eyes There are several potential good questions here, but I agree that it is difficult to tell exactly what is being asked and why. If it can be focused and made clearer it can be easily reopened. |

Fighting styles that use a katana from the beginning @John.Weland I already mentioned it. "Gumdo" is a different romanization of kumdo (검도). |

Avoiding “Belt Factories” I will say that if they are any good and they are looking at anything specific as pass/fail criteria, it will be forms and one-steps, not sparring. |

What material should be covered in a rape-defense course? There have actually been more up votes than that, but there have also been downvotes. Seems contentious. |

Why does Seido Karate only teach weapons training at black belt level? There are two questions here, both good, one of which is in the title and the other of which is in the body. Which do you want an answer to, or are you hoping one will lead to the other? |

Injury during training session, after 2 months still feel the pain If the question can be edited to bring it back more to MA it can be reopened. Otherwise the answer starts with "talk to a Doctor." |

Good music themes for Tai-chi Closing until it can be improved to fit within the scope of martial arts. Discussion on whether music and other "thematic" elements around martial arts can be considered on topic should go on the meta. |

“Spinning Block” Pattern Origination Thanks! Excellent answer. In my class we'd describe it as a "soft block" which for us includes cover techniques and deflections. That may be simply a difference in how we are defining things, or it may be a notational term based on the "looks like" principle, i.e., "this isn't originally conceived as a 'block,' but it looks and flows a lot like the soft techniques we practice, so we call it one." |

How do I find out what are the laws on edged weapons in my country? Discussion around topicality/localization/closing belongs on the meta. |

Drills for teaching range analysis Empty hand, specifically, though more general answers would also be good. Rapier I know plenty of drills for, but they require significant adaptation in some cases since empty hand lacks some of the visual cues that rapiers let you check within an inch. |

Choosing the right one for self-defense purpose? That doesn't narrow it down much from the other question that was asked, which despite not explicitly mentioning these still covers the same territory. |

Choosing the right one for self-defense purpose? A couple of things. One is that I hadn't been pinged (generally report things once you feel they are ready to be reopened), so I hadn't actually taken another look at it. Another is that it is still a very broad question with vague specifications that isn't clearly different from the other question that was asked in this regard. The major distinguishing points seem to be that he mentions a bunch of different things that are "widely" available (as opposed to just asking generally) and says that he "wonders" whether a "throwing or grappling art would be a better choice." |

Choosing the right one for self-defense purpose? Fix it, then it can be reopened and can be answered. That's why it is a community site with edit privileges. The fact that I "don't know how Singapore makes it different" is part of the problem in that such needs to be spelled out in the question, and it isn't even clear that locality is at all the focus in what @KyawThurein is asking about. |

Choosing the right one for self-defense purpose? 1) That it is based in Singapore is not mentioned in the questions 2) It is not clear how that makes it any different. It needs to be improved. If it can be improved and made into a great question, I can happily reopen it. |

Choosing the right one for self-defense purpose? Incidentally, I am closing this as currently it isn't a particularly good fit to a Q&A format and may very well be an exact duplicate. If it can be modified and/or clarified to the point where it can be reopened then it is easy to do so. |
