comment How to best maintain mount position
granted, it's best from side control, but i wouldn't call it a waste from mount. if all else fails, they'll often straighten their arm to avoid it, or like you said bridge, and when they do, hello arm bar.

i'm going to have to disagree with the americana from mount being a waste, i've finished 2 fights a couple tournaments ago with it :P you make a good point about setting up the subs and not worrying about staying in mount though. i do often catch the arm bars on the way off. but the points game is still a huge part of the sport.

comment What can I do to improve my squat for judo throws during randori?
ankle flexibility might be the problem as well, i suppose that is part of leg flexibility, but it's often overlooked. I've had trouble with squats in the past, and it was due to inflexible ankles!

comment What is the most effective way to stabilize a WaveMaster 2XL?
i've heard water and sand is best, if you plan on having to move it a lot, it'll be heavier then one or the other. if you don't ever have to move it again, concrete is good.

comment How bad is kickboxing for your brain?
@Samuel that's a little concerning. If you have a job that requires your brain... i'd think about learning to block and parry, quickly. and maybe ask about wearing head gear.

comment How bad is kickboxing for your brain?
you see stars and feel light headed 2-3 times per training session? that's bad. those are both pretty good signs that your brains rattled, and getting damaged. Do you wear head gear and 16 oz gloves when you spar?

comment history of Jujitsu?
good point @Sardathrion I didn't mean to imply that Aikido was part of this transition. I don't know a lot about aikido.

@DaveLiepmann I've added some more information about adults. I don't think there is much difference for adults then kids.
