Electrical Engineering degree and PhD in Software Engineering. I have start programming at the age of 13 with ZX Spectrum on TV, but also make PCB electronic circuits from very young.

Mostly working with c++/c#, assembly, asp.net, SQL, javascript including ajax and jQuery, but also have write on too many other, including lingo of Director, prolog and others.

The last 5+ years I work on a asp.net project, and so my focus here on SO is on that topic. I like the community here, and I even love to help and be help by.

comment Why doesn't aikido have kicking techniques?
The only kick that I remember is one on the face when you have the uke face down, or lower, but never make up/high kicks. Kicks that you upper your leg more than your knee.

harmony, is a greek word, come from αρμονία -> αρμός, armos -> means the connection, the joint, the point that you connect/join more than one thinks together in a way that they can not split/seperate. Eg when you dock the ship with cord, the point of connection called armos, when you connect the music notes together -> harmonia. (The harm-ony is false).

aikido no have kick attacks. Have all the rest attacks and when you do the techniques you learn to strike together with the technique. Just this strikes are come with time and is not the first think that you learn, how ever have strikes. (called atemi). Says that atemi are 80% of the technique ! and with our some times you can not make technique work in real world

comment Relaxation Techniques
@Zephyr To clear it. emotional is the feedback of the body to the mind. So emotional is reflect the body and its the signal to the mind. You can relax your body with one technique, but you need a second technique for the mind. The one can affect the other ofcource mind <-> body, but they are 2 different and is better to have different techniques for 2, and not wait the one to affect the other.
