Coming from a family of karate practitioners, I've been training martial arts since childhood.

My base is Ashihara Karate, which I've trained since 1999, and have been an instructor since 2004.

I've also dabbled with Tae Kwon-do, Muay Thai, Shoot Fighting, BJJ and MMA, attended various Kyokushin seminars, and have a general interest in different styles.

+1 for running/sprinting. It really is the most basic and effective form of self defence.
