I am predominantly a recreational programmer. In the past I have worked on creating programs using Computercraft for Minecraft, Wiremod for Garry's Mod and Space Engineers. I am currently assisting a friend with writing games for the Arduboy.
I started learning programming in late 2011, in college they taught us VisualBasic.Net, but I soon started learning C# in my own free time, followed later by Lua and C++. Now I mostly use C# and C++, but I'm also reasonably good with Lua and Java. I'm currently learning Haskell and Python on and off. I have varying experience with Batch, Brainfuck, FALSE, FORTH, Perl and Powershell.
I can use VB.Net and GML (gamemaker language), but I
would rather smash my foot with a shovel prefer not to. I am vehemently against the teaching of VB.Net and GML in schools and believe that C#, Java and C++ should be taught instead. I'm also accepting of Python but I think Lua is easier to get to grips with.
I have varying levels of experience with many computer-oriented subjects including computer architecture, compiler theory, operating systems and threading. I am familiar with the C++ standard library, the .Net standard library, and SDL 2.
