I'm currently studying Tomiki Aikido under Dr. Yoji Kondo, although I started in Yoshinkan aikido under Helton-Sensei. I'm also studying Taiji under D. Gilmer at StillwaterTaichi I'm informally studying jo and bokken.

What material should be covered in a rape-defense course? yes, that is more on topic. I'm not convinced that either one must know what one is protecting against prior to devising a defense, nor am I convinced that rape defense is within scope; nor am I convinced that it is outside of scope, nor am I convinced that I can articulate where the scope boundary ought to lie. Having expressed my indecision I shall shut up until I can contribute something other than misgivings. (My qualms aside, the information is both prudent and wise). |
