I didn't downvote but agree with Ho-Sheng. CF Judo versus Xing Yi or I-Chuan

comment What are good exercises for building grip strength for judo and BJJ?
+1 for the wrist roller. I'd add carrying heavy bags just using the 2 middle fingers and switching to just 1 finger now and again

comment How important is lineage when it comes to credibility or trustworthiness?
Yes. Or the longer version I used to have pinned in my training room "We do not rise to the level of our expectations. We fall to the level of our training". Someone on rec.martial-arts many years ago

Good answer. I stopped showing my tai chi film collection at multi-style events as I got fed up of Tung/Dong family students and Yang family students banging on about who was the "true lineage holder". As a great master said "Do or not do".

comment What is “seven star”?
I was told it's a reference to the 7 stars of Ursa major - aka the plough. The body is the plough blade and the arms are the plough handle. Shrug. Word of mouth. Usually Wu Ying-Hua's book is good on names but nothing on this one.
