What are the possible signs some has lost consciousness when being choked? @AyaProgram From what he said, he mistook what the choke was and tried to counter it, which just made it tighter, and I think by that time he just didn't have any time left to tap before losing consciousness. |

What are the possible signs some has lost consciousness when being choked? yeah, I'm better prepared for next time, and I think overall, I'll be looking for anything odd when doing a choke |

What are good martial arts for aging bodies? I was going to suggest the this, the ground stuff is not really that good, though Arnis guys won't say that, but if you marry it with jiujitsu, it makes for a great combo. |

What are good martial arts for aging bodies? on ibprofen, don't take it regularly when training, it has the less than desirable effect of lessening the strength gains your body will get through repair |

How do you take Notes on techniques you've learnt in class? @Ephraim I just use them as mental jogs, often in BJJ you get a technique, then you get variation 1,2,3,4 ... often I find myself going, oh, I remember a few months ago we covered this situation and there was a variation to handle when my opponent does X while I'm trying to do Y. |

How do you take Notes on techniques you've learnt in class? yeah, I find with BJJ I just find the quantity of techniques and the variations of each technique and transitions is just huge, and writing some of this down is proving reasonably useful, but I find I'm ending up with quite a big list of things that I'm not quite sure how I can better organise things. |

What is the oldest documented Eastern Martial Art that is still practiced? no its not :) whatever those in loin cloths practiced, isn't documented, so we can only assume what they did.... I'm interested in what has been documented and people actually still follow, as a system |

What time requirement and certification does one need to become a Krav Maga instructor? I actually think its pretty quick, its not quite like a normal martial art. The core basics are very very simple and I think the idea is you can teach these to people very quickly so they develop some useful skills in very little time. It's not meant to be fully comprehensive with lots of techniques. So the basic instructor is not to be confused with being a "black belt" in other arts. |

Are there musical instruments which, when practiced, noticeably increase martial arts skills and performance? we are really scraping questions out of the 'odd' barrel on this site. |

What are the ankles good for, relative to stance work and mobility? @trevoke I think a question should have an answer that can be accepted that covers what you were seeking in the question and doesn't require an essay of many possibilities. If things / advice vary a lot from art to art then it may need narrowing. |

What are the ankles good for, relative to stance work and mobility? the question seems way too broad to be able to answer. If your question was "whats the ankles role in a front kick" then maybe it would be easier. It also seems the question is biased in that you partly ask a question and then move into a discussion and answer already. |
