Kyokushin karate in bay area Welcome to the site. Sadly, your first question should be closed on the ground that it is too localised -- see the FAQ. However, I strongly urge you to ask more questions about karate in general. |

Is it true that most fights end on the ground? What is the evidence? -1. See The Body in Motion: Its Evolution and Design by Theodore Dimon. Humans have evolved to be upright bipedal. Normal humans have a centre of mass in the same place as the geometric centre (just below the navel) and therefore cannot be "top heavy". |

Good music themes for Tai-chi @DaveLiepmann: I posed this as a question not a statement as I am not sure if music recommendation should be on topic here. |

Good music themes for Tai-chi Ask yourself: Would a music expert be better able to answer this question without specific martial art knowledge than a martial art expert without specific music knowledge would? If so, then this question is off topic. If not, then a little more descriptions of why and what you are looking for is in order. As it stands, the question solicit a list which is not something SE is good at. |

Did Karate really originate in the Okinawa region of Japan? Welcome to the site! The first sentence make for a poor answer. Do you have a summary of your research? Anything published? What are your sources? Making bold claims is easy and unless you can bake them up, it makes what you have to say irrelevant. I do not mean to be mean, just pointing out how to improve your answer. Hope this help. |

How do I find out what are the laws on edged weapons in my country? @MarkC.Wallace: What is the best way to find out my rights and restrictions on carrying training weapons that are used in my martial art club. Note that no restrictions is put on weapons: life blades, wooden, metal, spiked, and all that jazz are possible. On a side note, this is all semantics. |

How do I find out what are the laws on edged weapons in my country? @MarkC.Wallace: It would be quiet easy to change the question so that it is clearly relevant to MA.se and not localised. Perhaps $admin could edit it? |
