Your usage of the bold on sport seems to suggest a derision for the word. Am I right?

Do you know about clinch techniques? Not that I am not an expert in Muay Thai so the link might not be the best one around or it could be. I just don't know enough to tell.

+1. Nice question, if maybe a little over broad. I edited your question slightly to make it easier to read. Let me know if I have changed your meaning?

comment Best moment to land a low kick?
@DaveLiepmann: When I train with a partner, I expect them to have my safety in mind. I am not doing martial arts to be beaten to a pulp, have my broken bones, my joints dislocated, and incur the risk of being either maimed or killed. If someone turned up to my club with the attitude to hurt their fellow members, they will be told to either change it right now or get out immediately. Surely that's not hard to grok? "When is a good time to land [specific technique]" is a great question, we agree on that. But that is not what is being asked here.

The tour and the help centre are on the "help" menu at the top right of the page. On the on-topic page, the first questions that should not be asked on Martial Arts is recommendations for schools or teachers in area X (too localized). Sorry to hear about your network connectivity, that does suck.

I absolutely get it. However, this site rules are there for a reason. It is therefore not the best place to ask this question. You might have more luck in either rephrasing your question in more general terms ("How can I go finding a X dojo?" although that might be too broad) or looking elsewhere. Alternatively, learn how to use Google...

Welcome to the site! Please do not get discouraged by my earlier down vote. I just want the answer to be a good. I suggest you looked at our tour to learn how this site works.

This is a terrible answer. You do not provide any justification for your opinions, allude to unspecific sources of authority, and finish with some off topic material. However, there is the potential to turn this into a good answer! Provide evidence of the "revealing similarities in techniques and forms". Provide example of the "purposeful designed opposites in forms, and in philosophy". And, if some masters/grand master agree with you: name them.
