Nescire autem quid ante quam natus sis acciderit, id est semper esse puerum. Quid enim est aetas hominis, nisi ea memoria rerum veterum cum superiorum aetate contexitur? -- Cicero, Marcus Tullius (106-43BC)

Indeed but your answer is much more complete than mine and does answer all the aspects of the question.

comment What are the functional differences between the five main T'ai Chi styles?
It depends on what you mean by "health"... Doing exercise safely will improve your health. However, Edzard Ernst has a post called Tai chi is based on strange concepts but is it helpful? that contains evidence medicine data on some tai chi health benefits claims. This is not an answer as it does not answer your question, just a comment on the "health" aspect.

Yeah, sorry. I tried to make this into a better question as it was pretty poor to start off with. Maybe a mistake...

comment Are Aikido joint locks harmful to children?
@Bankuei: I have asked several members of the medical profession. I am waiting results. Clearly, as soon as I have something, I will post it here and on skeptic.

I massively edited your question. Hopefully, it's still what you want to know but in a better format.

comment Are Aikido joint locks harmful to children?
@TheWudangKid: Indeed. I was pretty sure I would be on the right side of that but as this site is still in beta, everyone could have decided that any form of medical question is off topic. I am glad that this is not the case.

I hope this does not break the asking for medical advise as I am not asking for advise, I am asking for medical research. However, this might break the "asking for reference material" which tends to be frowned upon. It works well as a skeptic question. Not sure if it fits here...

-1 as this is anecdotal evidence.

comment What are good martial arts for aging bodies?
@gorilly: can you edit your answer with the evidence you provide in the comment. Comments are ephemeral and will be deleted. Although, only the age division is evidence, the rest is anecdotal which is not evidence.

Any evidence to support your claims? We're looking for long answers that provide some explanation and context. Don't just give a one-line answer; explain why your answer is right, ideally with citations. Answers that don't include explanations may be removed.

comment Slashing vs thrusting (bladed weapon vs pointed weapon)
@Fildor: Do you have a reference for that? As far as I know, pila were used in the early Roman Republic well before they had any contact with the Germaic tribes. Now, pila were indeed partly designed to penetrate shields but those were more the standard hoplite ones that were in wide use all over the Mediterranean at the time.

+1 if only for mentioning the companion ball (Portal reference) as it's an awesome way to learn forward rolls.
