About

This tags refers to 昭道館合気道 (Shōdōkan Aikidō) which is the system created by (富木 謙治 Tomiki Kenji, 1900–1979) to teach Aikido. The system is unique in its mix of kata and randori training heavily influenced by Kano's judo. It was developed based on the early teaching of Ueshiba during the Hell dojo years.

It is somewhat controversial in allowing competition which some other styles of Aikido frown upon.
