No, I think that a fighting system based in any martial art would have useful elements, but am only pointing out that one can train realistically or unrealistically. When answering I admit I was a bit fed up with "Is X effective" questions. And my second paragraph is because I think that even on this board, with probably a good number of "advanced" practitioners, a lot of people seem to assume that their leet skills will take care of any confrontations and there won't be any physical, legal, or emotional messiness involved in fights. | |

I don't know if that was the intention, but this answer seems to indicate that Kung Fu is in fact useless in a fight, compared to other martial arts. | |
